Day #8: Sunday, September 14-Horn Creek, Granite, and Hermit rapids
The last two days in the Inner Gorge brought many significant rapids. After running mostly clean, I flipped in Horn Creek but got my roll. Lonnie and I both aced Granite, but Hermit with it’s massive crashing waves caught us both. It feels good to nail a rapid but even excellent kayakers get hit funny and flip. What matters is that you end up upright and in your boat when it is all over.
